airplanecloud.jpgChartaire was established as an Air Carrier in 1989. The company aircraft were originally based at the Monticello Municipal Airport at Monticello, Iowa. In 1992, at the invitation of the City of Dubuque, our principal base of operations was relocated to the Dubuque Regional Airport. We remained at Dubuque until July 1, 2003 when, in order to become more centrally located to our principal markets, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and the Quad Cities, we moved to the Maquoketa Municipal Airport.
Maquoketa is our principal base of operations. What does that mean? Its where our required records are maintained and where we hangar the airplanes when they are not dispatched. We’ll pick you up at the airport of your choice (provided it is suitable to the operation) at no additional cost.
We focus our efforts solely on providing safe, reliable, cost effective air transportation and ancillary services for our clients. We do this with our owned, managed and leased aircraft, as well as our access to other charter providers when the mission dictates.
Through our relationship with the City of Maquoketa and with the cooperation of the City and its Airport Commission we have been able to expand our operation to include additional piston and propjet aircraft. Again, with their help and assistance, we have been able to keep our operating costs down to a point where we have not had an increase in our rates per mile in several years.
